Fever in the morning, fever all through the night. All my nights this last week seemed to be hot & sweaty - but none in a good way, Im afraid. Which leads me to this weeks #SundaySong. There was only one song in my head this week: Fever. So, naturally I hit youtube to see what gems were available. And quickly realized I had some killer choices to make. It came down to 2 options. I decided to go with this one because it seems to be a live recording, and I just love her delivery. Theres a bit of a wink in there, ya know what I mean? But there was another that I will link in the comments. It is SO over-the-top campy. Its from a variety show, and there is a group of male dancers involved. From their costumes, to their hats, to that fact that Peggy Lee sort of ignores the whole production number that is swirling around her, its fantastic. However, Im pretty sure shes singing to a recording. Which is fine, especially because I dont know how she did it without busting out laughing. All that said, I liked this version with just the 2 musicians better.
