Few additions to Murray Mandryks 2014 list of things the Premier - TopicsExpress

Few additions to Murray Mandryks 2014 list of things the Premier had trouble explaining. 1. Announcement of a new job-creating tax incentive for manufacturers and exporters. Walls most hypocritical move yet, saying hell give this industry the thing he made a point to take from film. Maybe 2015 will save face by announcing this new incentive includes the film industry. It was good at exporting. 2. Saskatchewan Week in Charlottetown. It showcased Saskatchewan talent with writers, musicians, visual artists and old episodes of Corner Gas. No Saskatchewan filmmakers invited. Not welcome or none left? 3. Walls keynote speech at an event in India with filmmakers. Film people there wanted to know how someone against tax credits was appropriate to speak. Embarrassing co-incidence or strategic move? 4. Corner Gas part 2. If the $2M was to avoid the embarrassment of filming it somewhere else, whats the explanation for sponsoring a Toronto parade float? How does that help the Saskatchewan film industry? 4. Cheaping out on WolfCop, which actually is a Saskatchewan film. All the jobs and money to finish the film then moved to Ontario to get that tax credit, just like Corner Gas. Hope theyve learned and make sure all of WolfCop 2 happens in Saskatchewan. And wed like all of Guardians back from India too. Maybe 2015 will be filled with things that are more justifiable and actually help the Saskatchewan industry. The elections coming and there is a new Minister who sounds like he gets it so they might just have a shot. Have we forgot any? Add them to the comments.
