Few days ago I was introduced to a 3 year old Syrian refugee whose family fled to Jordan her name was Tasneem. Her poor family fled to live from the war that the world (our govt) has waged on these children only to be killed in a tent fire that killed her whole family leaving her an orphan. Tasneem suffered from 90% 3rd degree burns but managed to live for a good six agonizing months. I found out about her only last week and she consumed a good part of my life trying to get friends and family to help this child who was left without money or proper access to medical care. When word was out a caring Muslim cleric from Kuwait paid (who wants to remain nameless) for all her medical expenses. I received word from my friend at the Syrian human rights aid groups that Tasneem died today in a hospital in Jordan from her wounds not too long ago. Today died my child, my sister, my niece..I prayed for her well being last night during the NIGHT OF POWER in Ramadan. She is with her mother inshallah in heaven and I ask Allah to please cleanse her parents of any sins so they may all rejoin in heaven. I cried but then I remembered she is in a better place and Allah listened to my prayers and knew living with these terrible wounds without her precious mother to hold her hand was enough pain a human being can handle. I prayed so hard that allah may ease her of her pain and she may join her family. A child should never be without a mother or father. Life of a Iraqi, Palestinian, syrian child
