Few facts to straighten out: #1. The British did not run through briars and brambles, they advanced against fortified Americans in the wide open, and were simply slaughtered where they stood. #2. The Ramparts were constructed of earth and timbers, not cotton bails. #3. It was entrenched American artillery firing double canister at point blank range that put the British troops down with such reckless abandon, not Kentucky Long rifles, which at best fire buck and ball, and not double canister. Details, details . . .
