Few of us might be aware of this promising young fella who, currently, is the # 3 guy at the Kenya Revenue Authority. Evans Mongare Nyakango is a Mosocho alumni. I was in 4A while he was in 4C in 1986 with akina Winston Moenga and later on in 6A not sure..Winston plz help..in 1988. He was a member of Nyerere dorm during his Os. Evans and his best pal, George Nyauma Nyakoe - we all hail from neighboring villages back home - were not bookworms at all but were always top in class. I think Nyakoe, a professor of Physics at JKUCAT, was the top student in our 86 graduating class b4 he left for Mangu. Evans could have gone the MPC-MBC way that most top students took but instead he chose to study Math Geo and Econs in his As and later on Bsc. Economics at UoN. He is sitting pretty now, but still is the humble little boy from Bosiango primary sch..just 20 mins walk to the famous Nyakemincha primary and the ancestral home of one Elias Makori Obanyi..another great Cardinalian.
