Few people are aware that Randal was offered a plea bargain @ the - TopicsExpress

Few people are aware that Randal was offered a plea bargain @ the first trial, & told by his attorney that if he would accept it, he would have Randal out in 6 yrs so he could see his children grow up. Randal believed in the judicial system at this point and thought that an innocent man could never be convicted for a crime he did not commit. He refused the plea and relied on 12 jurors to hear the truth, not knowing that crucial blood evidence would be withheld from them by the District Attorney. At retrial, he was again offered a plea bargain, and he, again, refused. Randal always maintained his innocence and would never admit guilt for a crime he did not commit. Although the former DA held the belief that he had the right man, and the jury heard the same evidence and yet, found him Not Guilty. You sir, got it all wrong..The Jury finally heard the evidence that should have been presented in the first trial. You ruined the wrong persons life. Your unwillingness to admit that fact, and your failure to pursue the Guilty, prevents compensation from the State of Alabama. I hope that you will admit that to God even if you never admit it to Randal.
