Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions - TopicsExpress

Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from that of their social environment. -Albert Einstein Something Ive been thinking about, well said by Albert Einstein. Its a shame some people are completely fixed in their beliefs, believing that anyone who doesnt believe exactly as they do is crazy or stupid or defective or some other even worse pejorative. Seeking out others with opposing points of view and having a conversation---not a pissing contest or a fight to be right or posting an insulting meme with flawed logic------to see what experiences shaped them as well as sharing ones own experiences and reaching an understanding together...this seems to be despised. Im labeled a conservative or a liberal and one side hates the other like Mets fans hate Yankees fans. Its childish. To suggest to some all-accepting, non-labeling person that there are other people who have legitimate beliefs that differ is to commit the worst of all sins---disagreeing. Lets all admit that this studys or that studys statistics can support either point of view. How about you listen to somebody with an opposing point of view? You will always learn something.
