Fifteen Players To Be Axed From Fatu FC BK KOLONJO Liberia’s Representative at the next CAF’s Confederation Cup preliminaries, Fatu FC has announced that it will drop fifteen players from its squad to give way to the recruitment of new faces. Fatu FC CEO and President Ansu Dulleh said the club has jump-started a massive recruitment for new players that will be signed on by the club. Mr. Dulleh told Focus Sports, that most of the players that came with the team from the fourth division up to the Premier league are “match rusty” now-a-days and there was a need to have them replaced before the team gets into the Competition. Fatu FC was informed by the Liberia Football Association last week that it will be Liberia’s representative at the Confederation Cup for finishing as runners- up in the Liberian FA Cup. The team’s dismal performance at the close of the LFA First Division season and their massive flogging in the LFA Cup Final by BYC raised serious concern about the team’s ability to ably represent Liberia at that international stage. This Mr. Dulleh thinks that problem will be solved with the recruitment of new players to the squad. “My technical team is currently searching for capable players for Fatu FC for the next LFA League season and the Confederation Cup. We will offload about 15 players from our current squad to make room for players already identified for possible transfer. My coaches are looking at players in the ongoing Third Division Playoff that we could possibly recruit to our team. Money is available to get new players,” Mr. Dulleh told a Focus Sports Interview. According to Mr. Dulleh, there is possibility that the team’s former goal hero, Dominic Jlateh could make a return to the club for the next season. “Dominic and I are talking and he seems to be happy with a return to the club for the next season. We could get him on loan for the time,” added Mr. Dulleh. Fatu FC will have to get their registration done with CAF before the draw for the CAF Competition takes place in a month’s time.
