Fifteen things you may not now about me. At the end, I will be tagging 15 people to do the same. Fingers crossed youre among the chosen. 1. I was a smoker. Quit 30 years ago in Feb., 1984. 2. I repeated the fourth grade. We moved from Springfield, MA in November of 1961 to live in England for several years. We lived in London with my mums parents for four months while waiting for base housing in Fairford and I was out of school most of those months. Did attend a local school (Ann Musk Goddard, help me out, Ive forgotten the school) for about six weeks, but was completely confused while there. Once on base and I resumed 4th grade at the American dependents school in late March, I was totally lost. I could have done summer school or opt for repeating. I opted to be placed in the third grade class and start 4th grade over the following year with my dads full support. The 4th grade teacher treated me terribly, who wouldnt want out of a classroom with a teacher who bullied? There was only one 4th grade, one 3rd grade, yadda yadda, for our overseas schools were small. The teachers were some of the best I ever had. 3. I was bullied every day in a few of my classes as well as at lunch while in junior high, all three years. Some civilian kids were brutal on us military brats ... knowing we brats wouldnt be around for long. Or it might have been because of my shyness - they picked on me because I never spoke out nor did I tell anyone I was being bullied. 4. I enjoy reading the dictionary, encyclopedias, and the phone book, but my favorite books to read are historical biographies. 5. I love hard rock, the harder and louder the better. Yet, I wear ear plugs at concerts. ;) Isnt about the loud music, I hate the screaming and sudden whistling of the people around me. 6. I am a klutz, but have never had a bone fracture. Sprains, tendonitis, but no bone fractures. I was in a cast for three weeks for the tendonitis. 7. On our first date my husband Dave shut my hand in the car door andd I ended up in the ER instead of on our date. Just a bad bruise, but he was so embarrassed and figured Id never go out with him again.. 8. On our second date Dave borrowed a friends car and he drove me to his favorite spots around Worcester, MA. While at Worcesters airport watching planes take off and land, he told me he would never ever fly and I told him I loved flying. A small plane was landing and crashed in front of us... yep, flipped tail over nose. Dave, and thats why you wont get me in a plane. Bwaaahahahahahah. The two occupants in the plane walked away. My dad said that was the second sign I should not continue dating Dave ... bwaaahahahahahaha, that was 40 years ago. 9. My plan was to have five children. LOL 10. I automatically correct spelling and grammar mistakes others make. In my head, though because I would never purposely point that out to the offender. I also admit to making them myself. So a snob, what? 11. I should have been a librarian. I love the Dewey Decimal System. Nerd. 12. I love the smell of gasoline. Creepy. 13. Some days I miss my mum so much that I will dial her Oxford land line. I always hang up after touching the last number. Then I call my friend Dottie because her phone number is the same but the last four digits are not in the same order. :) 14. I border on being a hoarder because I am running out of places to put things. Im suffering from toomuchstuffitis. Help! 15. I am always surprised with how much people trust me with their children. Complete strangers leaving their infants with me.
