Fifteen-year-old American singer, songwriter and actress Carly Rose Sonenclar was the runner-up on the second season of the U.S. version of the X Factor. Following her appearance on the show, she was signed by Syco Entertainment, a recording label which is a joint venture between Sony Music Entertainment and Simon Cowell. She is currently in the studio writing and recording her debut album. In early 2014, Carly was named one of the seventeen most powerful women under 21 years old by Seventeen magazine. Carly started singing at the age of two and has continued on her journey since then.
