Fifty-five per cent of the near-4,000 votes cast in an Express & Star poll this week asking ‘Should O’Hara be in Wolves’ first team?’ said yes, with the remaining 45 per cent preferring him to be kept in exile, writes Tim Nash. The online poll was sparked by comments from head coach Kenny Jackett, who revealed the club have received not a single enquiry for the £5m transfer-listed midfielder in the 165 days since his shameful exit at Brighton. The majority of voters are prepared to forgive and forget and see the 27-year-old restored to the first team, despite Wolves making their best start to a season in 64 years. But the calls of fans are almost certain to fall on deaf ears, with the board and Jackett insistent that O’Hara forms no part of the future of Wolves. Kevin McDonald and Jack Price are the current picks in central midfield, with David Davis, Lee Evans and Dave Edwards pressing hard. Meanwhile, as one player continues to be out of the frame, two more can now play for Wolves. The club have finally received international clearance for August signings Bradley Reid and Carlo Erdie to play competitive games. Fellow Under-21s signing Eusebio Bancessi received his all-clear a few weeks ago. Striker Reid, 18 was snapped up from Wrexham for £200,000; Romania Under-20 international attacking midfielder Erdie joined from Olimpia Satu Mare and Guinea-Bissau-born Portuguese winger Bancessi signed from Benfica. Erdie has a Hungarian passport and does not need a work permit. Wolves now only await clearance for Spanish central midfielder Albert Torras, who signed from Barcelona ‘B’. Reid is to be loaned to Wrexham to ensure he continues to get games when the development matches cease over Christmas.
