Figured I would update on the scary and not so good news we got at appt yesterday! Monitor showed I am again contracting consistently every 5 minutes, and I told her they are definitely getting stronger. So sounds like my body has built up a tolerance to the medicine. For my height and weight they have me maxed out so with that there is nothing more we can do. She said surprisingly my cervix is holding up remarkably well but now its only a matter of time. Is repeating the test again Mon that shows my risk of labor and she has prepared me for it being positive this time. đŸ˜” Said its not a sure thing I will deliver in next 2 weeks but I would go from 99% sure I wasnt to 30% chance I would. So she has prepared me to be admitted next week for magnesium and steroids for the boys brains, lungs, and to stop labor. She said if test is positive I will for sure go but if its negative if contractions are still consistent I will as well. Said there is still hope to get us to 36 weeks but my body has reached the point where its ready so we need to be prepared and ready from here on out. She did say that if we make it to 34 weeks then she is almost certain I will spend the last 2 weeks on hospital bed rest because at that point I would be so close that I would need to be monitored very closely since it could happen quickly. Thank goodness Craigs office is downtown so super close to there!! Positive note! She did say this week we reached a big milestone and the risks of them having any long term effects from being born prematurely went down significantly! There may be milestone delays for first 1-2 years but nothing significant! If we get to 32 weeks then they would mainly just be in there for growth and breathing support but risks of infections and brain bleeds are extremely minimal. So prayers please that we will be shocked in a good way on Monday and that if our boys are delivered soon for their strength. Craig and I are both excited and anxious to meet our boys but definitely want to wait at least 4 more weeks, preferably 8 more weeks. Cason and Conor are showing no signs of stress and are still growing and gaining weight so thats great news!!
