Fiji: Today is Typhoon Phanfone day... As Japan gears up to cop a battering, Fiji is experiencing the back end of it, with a king tide and stormy weather on top forcing huge waves over the reef and right against the hotel waterfront. Beach is closed (and underwater since 2pm), ground floor boarded up and many of the guests situated along the front watching it all unfold. For note, there is usually no waves here, its a clear water coral cove - so these images are a bit of contrast with normal weather!
