File 2009-55555 Police seek answers in HETU murder October 27, 2014 Kelowna - It has been five years since Christopher HETU was shot dead in Mill Bridge Park and police continue to seek public information to identify the person or persons responsible. On October 27th, 2009, the Kelowna RCMP responded to a report of a man down in Mill Bridge Park. Christopher Daniel HETU (20) was found suffering from apparent gunshot injuries and was rushed to hospital but his wounds proved fatal. HETU had recently relocated to Kelowna from Prince George. An autopsy later confirmed that Christophers death was the result of injury inflicted by a firearm. HETU had been observed entering Mill Bridge Park at about 1:00 am on a BMX bike via the Gordon Drive Entrance (Across from Brookside Avenue). Sometime between 1:10 am and 1:15 am, witnesses heard from 3 to 5 gun shots coming from the area of the park, where HETUs body was located. Police believe that there are individuals in Kelowna and Prince George that have information about this murder and ask that they come forward to assist in identifying those responsible for Christophers death.
