Film maker Anand Patwardhan threw the loud, arrogant & raucous CNN-IBN anchor Rajdeep Sardesai completely off balance when he asked him why he had changed his stance on Modi from 2002 when the latter actually (for once) did a brilliant & insightful coverage of Gujarat riots. And today, 3 younger & less experienced anchors of the same channel were drooling over an exclusive interview of Modi by their channel, extolling his positive attributes, his positive messages & stopping just a wee bit short of pronouncing him as the grand leader with the grand economic vision! But you just have to look at who controls the purse strings of this channel (and many others) & the answer is crystal clear! Of course, the BJPs reported Rs. 10,000 crore media blitzkrieg has to deliver something - if nothing to at least get each of these itsy bitsy journalists to pose a question to anyone each time they hold the mike - Is there a Modi wave??? Interesting stuff, intriguing stuff. Missing all the action, heat & dust back home!
