Film review - The Equalizer - saw last Saturday at Casuarina. I havent been to the flicks for months - too many disappointments, and tired of wasting my $11. I approached this with some trepidation - David & Margaret werent impressed, and I have generally found David to be reliable. My trepidation deteriorated when I checked the Sydney Morning Herald - It takes a fine actor to make guff like this convincing ... but Denzel WASHINGTON is indeed a fine actor ! plenty of action, but its a morality tale - good versus evil. If you remember the 80s English TV show of the same name, youll see the similarities. The characters and storyline have depth, with good dialogue. I enjoyed it, but not everyone will. Recommended.
