Final Morning MESS report...... Excuse me while I chip the icicle off my nose........ Yep. Im winding er down. Havent seen much to report in a while. All good things run their course, Im afraid. With cooler weather moving in, my walks will be few and far between until next spring and warmer weather, anyway. Walked the same old route. I have added the runkeeper ap to my phone, and it posts to Facebook, so Ill still be reporting in in a way. Even with the cooler air this morning, it was a good walk. Barely daylight when I started, 5 buzzards were staring at me when i passed the water tower. They might have to find a new perch when they start painting it! Didnt realize until I read it in the Banner, but that water tower hasnt been used in several years! Except as a perch for the buzzards..... Bethel Campus was quiet this morning until I rounded the corner toward the old gym. A group of happy people were gathered there under a tent. I think there is a 5K run today......must have been the starting point. Homecoming for Bethel was this week, winding it down this weekend. New sign by the University Drive street, pointing the way to the Vera Lowe Center. As if you could miss it! Big beautiful building! Aw, stuff it, big Magnolia Street dog. Im IN THE STREET, for pitys sake! Im not gonna put a toe in YOUR yard!!! Praying the batteries dont go out on his invisible fence collar...... The town end of University Drive is shaping up! Concrete poured for the curbs and the sidewalk. You can sorta see how its going to be laid out now. Should make a nice entrance into that part of downtown when they are finished. And yes, James, you ARE going to be able to access the old street from the new one, or at least the curbs look like there is a turn there. Im looking forward to seeing the finished product! Ive enjoyed these morning reports. I hope you have gotten a little entertainment from them, too. Have a Super Saturday.....over and out.......for now.
