Final Nail on the Coffin of Democracy in Afghanistan! We have been receiving constant reports on election process and there are plan that some circles are trying to: 1. Burn the warehouses of Afghan Election Commissions so that election ends with no final results. 2. Pressurizes UN to delay the audit process or end the process in the middle without announcing the results. 3. The UN, after the observers of Dr Absullah Abdullah walked out of the audit process, has decreased the number of stations from 150 to 100 boxes per day and leaves the IEC before or on 6:PM. The UN request to president Karzai to delay the inauguration ceremony of the new president is under the pressure of Dr Abdullahs camp. Instead of such request, the UN must increase the number of poling stations per day and end the legal process in due time that they promised. If UN continue delaying the process it will jeopardize its own mandate. 4. We hear publicly from UN and other politicians that the final decision will be made by IEC , while in reality the IEC is handicapped and bypassed by everyone. This is against the spirit of democracy and is a plan to weaken and defame the local Afghan institutions. Dr Abdullahs camp strategy is to defame the IEC so that they can justify the changes in some IEC officials before the forthcoming National Assembly and will try to succeed more members to the next parliament and devise a strategy to create regular tension between the government and the parliament and paralyzed the performance of the new government to seek more share in the government. 5, We hear that some circles including Dr Abdullahs camp to have an interim set up and even ready to continue the tenure of present government. If any option without completion of the audit process and acceptance of the results are chosen will become the final nail on the coffin of democracy in Afghanistan.
