Final track from 2009 today is by yet another band whose greater body of work really isnt my thing. The Foo Fighters rose from the ashes of Nirvana after the death of Kurt Cobain.. and are usually a pretty heavy rock band, which as you all know is not my thing. Interestingly they have had WAY more success in the UK than their native US with multiple top 40 singles which did nothing in America. This track is another that I first heard on those car journeys back and forth to Victoria because Bill had it on his USB.. and I loved it right off the bat. One of the things I most like about them is that they dont take themselves terribly seriously.. as shown by this video. Its funny and clever and fits the song beautifully. Yes that IS Jack Black and his Tenacious D partner in the overalls hiding the weed.. and NO the music over the first and last few seconds is NOT the song. Its just setting up the video.
