Finally! But that being said, why now? Who sponsored the making of this film? Nothing like capturing the narrative after the Snowden scandal. All those NSA and GHQ people (and their hedge fund owned contractors, and the hedge fund owned and employed k street fixers, and all the domestic spying) are just hard working misunderstood mathematicians who are working hard to save us from the next Nazi horde.... So in short celebrating real patriotic geniuses who really did win the war for Britain is great. But do not forget why this film is really being made. Lastly, I read an old copy of Iron Coffins that had been sold from the naval war college library. Inside the cover page, someone had written the dates of when the German enigma codes were broken. It was fascinating to see how the submarine battle from the Germans perspective ebbed and flowed based on the code being broken. The second time they broke the naval code, the British waited for 2 months until March or April, when nearly the entire Germany submarine fleet was out to sea, and in one month sunk 90% of it. The Germans thought it was their METOX 4 a day detecting machine - it wasnt.
