Pop Statement: prediction-wise, Fifth Harmony is expected to rise as the next biggest girl band of this generation. Having won an online voting contest of the best girl group of all time in 2014, Fifth Harmony eclipsed the Spice Girls at the top spot. They were also hailed as the next pop act to watch in the MTV video awards last year. Fifth Harmony are 5 reject girl auditioners of X-factor US season 2 called together by the judges to form a girl band, following the same fateful start similar to One Direction. The girls won the hearts of the judges with consistent excellent performances, winning 3rd place in the finals. This month, Fifth Harmony will release their debut album Reflection and their luck in the music industry is just starting. Pop Thoughts: I have so much admiration for girls bands that began with the Spice Girls in the 90s. The first time I saw Fifth Harmonys fiery performances in the X-factor, I realize how talented and extraordinary they are, the same surge of girl power energy exhibited by Little Mix, another girl band who won the 2013 X-factor UK. When this song came out last month, it instantly captured my affinity. The song is eargasmic and fiery as a new sound of pop today. my music player overloaded with repeat-play button with this song, as it pave way for Fifth Harmonys exciting journey to success. Thus, it deserved the numner one spot in my 2014s massive addiction list for pop music. This 2015, what would be the breakout pop songs?
