Finally SpiceJet has removed the BOM - STV from its bookings for Summer 2015 schedule. However, this does not mean that any carrier can use the availability of 1 op in the 2 ops cap. SpiceJet has not vacated or surrendered this slot and it will lie unused. They have only suspended services and unless they vacate it, surrender it, are forced to surrender it or become insolvent, no other airline can take this slot. Therefore we have to continue fight for removing the 2 cap. The slot at Mumbai may be used by them for any sector and the slot they occupied at STV can be used by them for any sector they please if they are able to fly.
