Finally at last, tourism has hit the agenda! We have a family - TopicsExpress

Finally at last, tourism has hit the agenda! We have a family business in the tourism industry - 60% of our business comes from the UK. Of that 60%, 80% comes from England, Wales & Northern Ireland. In the 25 years we have been operating we have experienced 3 recessions, 9/11, foot & mouth disease, volcanic ash, global political unrest (Arab Spring Rising), and the 2008 global financial crash. Our business survived all of these thanks to the support and spending power of the UK home nations, primarily England, with the rise in popularity of the staycation. A question for YES voters, if Scotland decides to separate from the UK, who do you think is going to step in and support our tourist industry? Let me tell you this much, talking to our UK customers this year, we get a very real sense that Scotland will not be on their holiday itinerary in the forthcoming years. Why? Because they dont like the nationalistic tone of the debate, they dont like the anti-English rhetoric, they dont like the idea of borders and passport controls, they dont like the idea of having to use a foreign currency, they dont like having their own futures as being part of the UK being decided by 4 million people and they dont like the uncertainty caused by the bluff, bluster and arrogance of an egotistical First Minister who despite all the advice from here and abroad, does a great impression of an ostrich with his head in the sand. Its a NO Brainer - make a positive choice on 18 September and Vote NO to keep the UK United.
