Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should. (Ephesians 6:10-20 NIV) So if we wage war as the armor of God states in Ephesians why surrender in battle this one day? Will darkness not prevail and go farther if we scale back? In war we dont practice surrender , we do not leave our soldiers behind. We bring are soldiers home when they die in enemy territory. Wouldnt that give power and victory to satan by surrendering this day? We are in a battle for souls as Jesuss vessel We must fight the good fight EVERYDAY! Leave no one behind. Be a light into this dark fallen world. God is slow to come for he desires no one to perish. The disciples did not stop taking to the streets on holidays, festivals of sorts. They were determined to save the lost. Jesuss last words before ascending to heaven: Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:16-20 NIV) You can live by fear of this day and relinquish it to evil, however me my household belong to The Lord and will serve him on this day as in every other day.
