Finally got 9 more cranks and 1 topwater lure on the turner. Opted to try some different color variations as well as some favorites. Got an idea I am going to try and reproduce some trout fly patterns on crankbaits (basic color schemes) and use those cranks specifically this spring after the trout. Not sure how theyll turn out, but if they dont work, I can always repaint them. The topwater will be painted in a frog pattern. Cant have too many frogs when it comes to fishing. Been doing some research on other pattern variations and coming up some pretty cool ideas. Need to order another crankbait kit here soon because I think it might be another month before my shipment of blanks gets here. Tomorrow will find me working on the vacuum stencil former as well as a static drying rack. If time permits, I might work on some spoons, or slap some Bogstalker logos on my nearly finished baits. Have a new crank cut and glued and in the vice. Im going to keep it slightly boxy looking because you just dont see lures like that anymore. Need to put the wire form on it and get it ready to get a plastic bib. With winter upon us, I should be making some ice fishing tackle. Seen some guys out fishing the hard water yesterday. Maybe...got an idea for a jigging Rapala clone... Too many ideas and not enough time.
