We appreciate the time you have taken to share your thoughts and concerns regarding the teachers dispute. We want to take this opportunity to thank you for your patience through these past months. We know this has been a difficult time for parents, teachers and students, as well as for our province. We are happy that we have reached an affordable agreement that is fair to both teachers and taxpayers. Getting this dispute settled and establishing long term stability in our public education system has been a top priority for this government. We believe this historic six-year agreement will go a long way in restoring confidence in our education system for students today and for generations to come. Now, we are moving forward to look at new opportunities to work with the BCTF so we can enhance our relationship and work together to support teachers and students. We want to assure you that government and the Ministry of Education remain committed to improving the public education system for the benefit of teachers, students and all British Columbians.
