Finally got back home at almost 8pm from Dianes 1 pm doctors appointment..She has many appointments coming up..One for her kidneys, one for her heart, One for her asthma, one for her diabetis and one to learn how to give herself insulin shots...Seems that the steroids are not working the way they used to and it is destroying her kidneys and her liver..She is going to have to be on insulin shots for an undetermined amount of time...One of us will post he outcome as it arises... Lost Bubba today..He is back home for a while.. Spoke to my doctors nurse today when she called to relay a message in response to questions I sent to my doctor.....My October 21st appointment has been moved to November 10th..I can still go get blood work done for my PSA and Tetesterone levels on the 21st. though..Then I can take them again on the 10th for a comparison reading...Nothing definite yet on the start date for the radiation treatments of my prostate..Much will be determined by the blood test results...If the hormone and radiation treatments work, I can be here for a fairly long time..If they do not, then I have 2 and maybe 3 years on the outside, before it is all over with...Since it has already broken out of the gland, there presently is no cure and surgery is not a viable option..The general consensus is that the invasiveness of the surgery, would probably do more harm, than the removal of the gland would do good...The best they can do is prolong my life unless there is a cure found, or a divine intervention occurs..Dying isnt what worries me.We will all die sooner or later. (Preferably later)...It is concern for those that will still be living I take care of, that worries me..
