Finally got to see Ashley and move up to her room for the night. She was very, very sleepy for a long while. She had to lie flat and still for 6 hours to ensure the groin would not bleed. Fortunately she slept through most of that time. Had a few visitors but she kept saying she could barely keep her eyes open! Gave a bit of a scare around 9pm because it appears the groin was bleeding again. And she became very agitated for awhile. Applied pressure for about 20 minutes and then she was ok. She was able to get up and walk and sit in the chair but very nauseous from anesthesia. Dr wants her to fly flat again now for another 4-5 hours. We had some nice little bonding moments tonight and a chat about what in the world a girl would do without her mama! Resting peacefully again. Tim is home with Nicole and will get her off to school and come back in the morning. Nicole and her friend gathered up icicles and brought them to the hospital in a thermal bag so Ashley could suck on them and soothe her throat! It was so cute! Long day. I may or may not steal a few winks of sleep tonight! Thank you for all the love, prayers, and support.
