Finally have a moment to reflect on last nights reunion show of The Karma Effect. Years ago I had the privilege of working with The Karma Effect on a few of my first shows. They were a incredible band and just as incredible as people. The Karma Effect guys went on to do other things like Evalyn Awake and Restraint, who Ive also been fortunate enough to be able to work with. Last night was a milestone for lots of us. The line up was solid. DEAD MANS HAND Kansas is one of my favorite new bands to work with. Dirt is always a pleasure to work with. Erick Rhoades is one of my favorite front men and one hell of a nice guy. Killing the Calm, this band doesnt play out enough. Every time I hear them they impress the hell out of me and continue to get better and better. Looking forward to their new music, rumor has it a single may be released this week. Jack Bagby, another musician I was fortunate to be able to work with when I first got started. Jack, remember the outdoor gigs with Canvas on the patio at the BBQ place The Joint at the City Market? Anyhow, last night was a special night not only for me but seemed to be for many others in attendance. Thank you DMH, DIRT, KTC and TKE for allowing me to play a small part in what you do. Rory Siercks, Nicholas James Maucelli Marshall, Steven Clark, Bill Wald, lets do it again.
