Finally have time to write about Thor: The Dark World, you have been warned there may be spoilers below. And my family is now sick of hearing me fangirl all over the place so now venting here... *** I thought it was a lot better than the first movie, it felt like Star Wars mixed in with Lord of The Rings, it was a really nice blend and I loved all the locations and scenery. In other words cinematography was lovely. Didnt pay attention to the soundtrack, only about two tracks stood out during the movie. The story line with the Dark Elves was a bit meh, pretty much on the same level of the first movie. The final battle was pretty anti-climatic as well. The Stan Lee cameo could be missed if you werent focusing on finding him, the bonus scenes at the end of the movie were good, first one was hinting at Guardians of the Galaxy, second one was just an extra scene from the movie. I really wanted to see something from Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The first half of the movie was also really tragic and upsetting, but then it crossed the half way mark and got really good with some funny lines, then progressively got less awesome toward the end. Then the final scene happened and you literally shit bricks at Marvel even making that happen. Also, I noticed that some scenes from the trailers didnt appear at all and I feel like there is an extra 30 minutes of footage that should have been added but wasnt. Hopefully we get a directors cut with extra footage when the movie is released commercially. As for actors: Tom Hiddleston owned it as usual and was actually quite funny, Chris Hemsworth did very well, Natalie Portman was alright, Kat Dennings was hilarious and same goes with Stellan Skarsgard. There wasnt that much of the warriors three and Zachary Levi didnt get that much screen time considering how hyped people were for him being in the movie. Christopher Eccleston did alright but I think they may have cut a lot of his scenes short which made his character a bit disappointing.
