Finally home. So, lemme tell you about older sisters. I have an older sister, Judi. My brother Doug (first oldest friend) has an older sister, Eileen. My brother Edz (second oldest friend) has two older sisters, Margaret and Barbara. Growing up, it was pretty much a requirement that we had to dislike and annoy all of those girls with extreme prejudice. All older sisters were bad news. Those relationships have somewhat moderated. So, as we were toasting Uncle Jack on the night of his funeral in Doug and Aunt Carols kitchen, drinking something that I charitably compare to rocket fuel, somehow the discussion turned to the penchant for people, especially females, to have these overwhelming urges to render harm unto poor, innocent yours truly. Eileen, walks across the kitchen, gives me a big hug, and says Ill protect your ass. Keep that in mind, folks. Not only is my other older sister brilliant, beautiful, charming, compassionate, and talented - shes, lets say, more than capable of protecting my skinny behind.
