Finally home from VA been there since 1:30 yesterday(9-30) afternoon til Now 1206 am Oct 1. In clinic lab and E.R. Short story :Muscle enzymes were thru the roof and could not move my left arm except a couple inches. Upper right neck and right shoulder spasming and pinching nerve so that two last fingers on right hand were numb and tingling. Massive aching all over and shaky. Put me on IVs all night to flush out the enzymes that were affecting my kidneys. More lab tests finally came back good and movement returned to the left arm and the right,hand,neck and shoulder are much better. NO WISECRACKS! Please, as it sure as hell aint funny or very comfortable. Just letting those few who were concerned know whats up. Protein shakes, atravastatin cholesterol medication, are not compatible with me it seems. And the working out accelerated the muscle breakdown process that was already begun by the reaction of the other combination plus a couple of other meds. And yes,I drank gallons and gallons of fluids. This was partially a medical problem beforehand. It should be noted that protein shakes,while beneficial to replacing or adding protein to the body also contain a ton of creatin which is harmful to and a strain on kidney function, so use wisely. Just telling you what the specialists told me and how all this affects me. Not up for arguments or discussion, way too tired, just some info for your consideration. I will continue working out at The Field House, but with a different structure than I had planned before. Summary is I feel much better although very sore and tired and will live.
