Finally i find time to do a post about the following places! The reviews will be in this order: 1. Omnom 2. China Town & 3. Sweet Affairs. 1. Beginning with Omnom I dont understand why such rave reviews about the place? Its a nice small joint and the staff is very sweet but the food is not to die for! As in it was good but the kind of reviews i read about the place were not in line with my experience yesterday. I wouldnt call it bad though but nothing so amazing. Thats it about Omnom. 2. Coming on to China Town. God! Horrible experience! I am a foodie and I go not just for the food but for the service as well and especially when you go to a place where you spend so much of your hard earned money you do require satisfactory services too. It is as expensive as YUM but nowhere even close to their service and food in reality. Anyways, we ordered special soup, egg fried rice and sweet & sour chicken. Nothing lived up to my expectation. I loveeee Chinese and I exactly know how it should taste. It was no where close to the real Chinese. The gravy was toooooo sweet I thought I was having a dessert. Nothing hot and nothing sour! First they brought in the wrong soup and did not replace it. Maybe that was our mistake also that we asked for their best soup and they told its their special soup without mentioning that it has beef and shrimps added. Maybe they are not supposed to tell this and we should have read the ingredients on our own so we didnt really make an issue out of it. I lost my temper when everybody sitting in that area was served and ours was the only table where there was no sign of food. We were dying of hunger! We showed a lot of patience because we understand delays occur but; such LONG delays? Like we literally had to wait for more than an hour and still no food. Anyways we repeatedly asked the waiter and they kept saying 5 mins which were 20 mins in actual actual and their 2 mins were 10 mins in actual. So this kept happening and finally we told them we are leaving if we dont get our food now. Finally the food came and it was also quite disappointing as mentioned earlier. I also feel that maybe the service was sooooo bad that I also hated the food. It truly depends a lot on the service in hospitality industry! 3. Now finally coming on to the best experience at Sweet affairs by Saniya Waqar! Initially I wasnt too keen on going there because I thought they just serve sweet items only and I dont need to get addicted to a place selling sweet stuff. I just cant afford it! (Weight control issues). I knew they serve the best skillet and some amazing home made gelatos. Finally one fine day on the recommendation of a friend to try their pizza we finally landed in there andddd were truly delighted by the experience. The service was satisfactory and the food was AMAZING. Ordered a pizza lol ive forgotten the name in excitement and didnt even take pictures because we really wanted to take a bite asap to know how It tastes and then there was no turning back. One pizza was not enough for us but then we thought to stop and since then we are craving for that pizza everyday. Did not go on purpose again because we know well get addicted as we do have a strong tendency of getting addicted to good food joints. 5* for this place. Anyways sorry for such long post. I do not find time to post often so these were pending since long and I really wanted to do a post about them! Sorry!
