Finally managed to take some time out and get the Vandercook Proof Press working. The drum is now packed out to be type high, I created a wood block on the laser engraver and then printed a war time blue kit kat bar. And here it is, my first ever letterpress print. Not the best, need to learn how to handle the ink better and oak has too much grain for a good wood block (just had a piece lying around) but overall I am pleased with the first test.
