Finally received the results from Wednesdays labs. This is the email I received from our kidney transplant coordinator-I will be calling our liver/GI dr first thing Monday morning who, hopefully can shed more light on the continued elevated GGT (liver number)...the good news is that from a kidney standpoint Damien is doing fabulous. Its the liver numbers that are of concern... Hi Ms. Dye, I hope you are having a good week. I wanted to let you know that we got the preliminary results on Damiens labs. His WBC is improved at 3.5, H/H is stable at 9.4/29.9, platelet count good at 169, creatinine stable 0.61. His ggt remains elevated at 297. We are still waiting for the additional viral studies that GI requested. As soon as I have the final results I will send you a copy as well as send them to the liver team for their review and any recommendations. Otherwise lets continue with the regular follow-up from nephrology.
