Finally started picking away at the xr. I got it almost a whole year ago with a blown head gasket. With two young kids and opposite work shift with the wife I honestly have zero time for it but at this point its do or die time. Decided either I do it NOW or I scrap the damn thing. Pulled /pushed it in the garage the other day with my truck, the kiddos asleep in their car seats. Gonna work on it 1 hr a nite when I get home at 11pm and everyones asleep upstairs. Last night I drained the coolant, removed the turbo plumbing, and unbolted the exhaust manifold. I was pleased to find almost no shaft play on the compressor wheel. Looking forward to digging in again tonight!
