Finally time to sit for a few minutes after being at KCC Park for the DOGS Victoria Inaugural State Rally Trials. What a great day! The weather gods were kind to us with lovely sunshine even if it was just below zero when I arrived there very early this morning and a thick frost covering the grounds. As a member of OTEC I would like to thank all the members of the Committee and all the willing helpers who assisted in anyway in the running of such a great day, all your efforts are very much appreciated! Special thanks to the judges and stewards who did an outstanding job getting through so many dogs in the time. There was some amazing work in the rings with several teams gaining perfect scores with many more not far behind. Congratulations to Linda Johnson and her Standard Poodle Violet on winning the runoff of all class winners over the two trials and becoming the Inaugural State Rally Champion 2014. In between my jobs at the trials I managed to also compete at both trials. Very chuffed with my big Golden boy Connor, as together we gained our first two legs towards his RAE title.
