Finally watched Extraterrestrial (2014) this morning after remembering that it was released a few months ago. A lot of people have been shitting on it and saying that its the most horrible film ever; which I dont agree with at all. I obviously cant put it in the same class as Nightcrawler or Interstellar, but I never expected to be able to and Im sure the Vicious Brothers feel the same way. For what it is, I think its the best movie of its kind to come out since Fire in the Sky. Maybe its because I absolutely love movies about aliens and encounters with them. The exposition and character development is done without wasting time nor glossing over important details. Even the way its shot is impressive. Im glad that I didnt let reviews for the film online dictate whether I watched it or not, since I had thankfully watched the trailer early last year way before it was released. Im writing this in hope that I can reassure anybody wanting to watch it to stick with that plan. Even if its just one person, it will have been completely worth it.
