Finance Minister Doug Horner oversees the fleet and dismissed - TopicsExpress

Finance Minister Doug Horner oversees the fleet and dismissed calls for his resignation, insisting he didn’t know about former premier Alison Redford’s personal and partisan use of the planes. He laid the blame for abuse solely at Redford’s feet, insisting she alone abused the long-standing practice of holding seats with “false passengers.” He cast his department as a mere “booking agent” for the $9.3-million-a-year fleet. Redford also denied any knowledge of the booking practices, auditors said, and took no responsibility for breaches committed during her tenure. Justice Minister Jonathan Denis said he has referred the matter to the RCMP for investigation, and declined further comment. Progressive Conservative party president Jim McCormick said he knew nothing of the partisan use of the planes.
