Financial Aid Announcement: (for undergraduate students) Whitworth University Special Country Grants for Freshman Undergraduates: Whitworth University Announces 2014-2015 Special Country Grants for Freshman Undergraduate Students from Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey. Founded in 1890, Whitworth University is a private, Christian university that is consistently recognized for educational excellence and value. Whitworth welcomes students of all faiths, backgrounds, and nationalities, and is committed to supporting international students. As part of that commitment, Whitworth is excited to announce special need-based grants for qualifying students from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Russia, Turkey, and Ukraine. Grant amounts vary between $1,000 and $5,000. These country-based grants are offered in addition to our international need-based grants, and academic-based scholarships, which are available to all international undergraduate first-year students. Whitworth academic scholarships include the following: Mind and Heart ($20,000) Presidential ($17,500), Trustee ($15,000), and Whitworth ($12,500). These scholarships, along with the need-based grants, are renewable for up to four years, as long as students continue to meet the requirements.
