Financial Literacy In Action! Rotarian Judy Haycook, Branch Manager at Union Bank in Bishop, helps the 5th Grade bankers at Bishop Elementary School keep track of their money as they pay salaries - part of the Rotary Club of Bishops new Financial Literacy Program. Meanwhile Sue Lyndes auctions off the ever popular Get Out of Homework passes during the auction - a reward for the kids working hard all month at their jobs as Custodians, Technology Supervisors, Clerks, Messengers and Bankers. Competition for the items was fierce, with one set of passes going for $1,400! But the most prized item of all? A Piggy Bank donated by Union Bank which fetched $2,200 - a great sign that the kids are thinking seriously about saving money!
