He/she will advise the Executive Director in all financial-related issues and on occasion report the Board of Directors and External donors and partners. This position is based in Kabul. Job Description The Finance Manger will be responsible for all organisational financed and accounting activities. /He will be in charge of the finance personnel based in Kabul and will report to the Executive Director, Board of Directors and at times liaise with external partners and donors. The following are the main responsibilities of the Finace Manger: Oversee all organization accounting practices, including accounting, preparing budgets, financial reports, payroll, tax and audit functions; Provide advice to the development and maintenance of financial systems and processes; provide advice and information to the Director overseeing financial operations for changes to take place; Participate in the preparation of statutory annual reports including income and asset statements as well as balance sheets; Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities; Ensuring all financial regulations including taxation are adhered to; keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and tax legislation; Make sure policies and internal rules are set up and follow in order to ensure transparency and internal accountability of financial operations; Facilitate and liaise with internal departments if IWA and external points of contact within implementing partner and funding organizations. Deliverables By the end of assignment, the Finance Manger will have been required to deliver the following outputs: A meticulous accurate and efficient Finance team Quarterly, Annual and as needed Financial reports Oversee the Implementation, and accuracy of financial accounting and operational policies and activities. Overseeing the provision of support to internal program and Executive teams and staff. Liaise with external partners and auditors effectively and professionally. Financial accounting and operations and policy creation and implementation. Job Requirements inimum Bachelor degree in Finance Management and Accounting Continuing educational training a plus. Experience Previous personnel management Firm grasp of professional business communications and the ability to work in teams. Experience in financial report creation and financial narrative creation a must. Previous experience in NGO or International Organisation Finance and Accounting. Multicultural approach and professionalism. Knowledge, skills and abilities Knowledge of Accounting and Finance in NGOs and/or international organisations. Knowledge of accounting softwares.
