Financial inclusion is back on top of agenda....Seems lot happening abt it.... More meetings of top bureaucrat with machinery in field.... If existing SCBs have to achieve it then we need a branch for at least 2500 population with adequate and skilled staff to serve there... We need to have RURAL BANKING AS A CADRE with additional perks for serving betterly in rural areas. All Rural Branches must have seperate Agriculture Finance Dept. adequately staffed with skill staff... Rural areas need more direct contact with SCBs branch network.BC model have a flaw of trustworthiness of BC... We should see rural banking not based on profit earned or loss made....but its outreach should be used to strengthen Rural Indias complete picture.... Rural people should fell they have required financial support at optimal cost and in minimum possible time at neatest place... then only Indias rural will develop ability to stand up and compete with best in world. So financial inclusion should be seen as more than just having an account in bank branch...
