Find your own training vanue: Chiefs denied training facilities Kaizer Chiefs have had to find alternative training facilities in the Ivory Coast, after they were unable to train at the match venue, prior to their CAF Confederation Cup second-leg match on Sunday against Asec Mimosas. They were expected to train at the match venue on Saturday, but because of an event at the ground, they had to find alternative facilities with similar conditions. Speaking to Kaizer Chiefs’ website Bobby Motaung said, “We were well received by the embassy. The hosting Club and Association didnt show up as a norm, but reception was a warm one from the Embassys side. We know what we are up to, we cant complain but focus on the mission of playing football.” The hotel facilities are below par. We hoped for the regulations of CAF to be applied. We have a prepared programme to follow leading to the game on Sunday. “Unfortunately our plans are hampered as we learned that we will not be allowed to use the training facilities this afternoon. How do you call this Fair Play with all this unfair tactics?”
