Find yourself getting lost for a few moments observing honeybees - TopicsExpress

Find yourself getting lost for a few moments observing honeybees foraging in a patch of Mountain Mint. Mint of any kind is a good nectar source this time of year. It produces honey that is almost as clear as water. There are several healthy patches of Mountain Mint here in Uxbridge (thanks to Kathy and Don Desjardin of Richardson St). The patch in this video is on West River Rd. near Pout Pond. If you want to help out Mother Nature plant a small amount of Mountain Mint. Its like planting a glacier; plant it and run since it likes to spread. But, while its spreading it is also providing a much needed food source during mid summer which historically is a time of lack for pollinators. On a nice sunny day you can observe hundreds of different types of pollinators all over this mid summer bloom. Its electric with activity... Please contact us if you would like a free split from this healthy patch to start your own pollinator garden. You will find it very rewarding....
