Fine, Im going to say it outright: Godzilla was lame. They updated MUTO to move and act like a real monster, but Godzilla himself was still a big fat sumo wrestler in a suit. Not only that, you barely saw any of the monster battling AT ALL. There were rare glimpses of the muto flying at Godzilla and Godzilla briefly biting the MUTO, but it was all like a backdrop of the movie. Godzilla needed a front seat baby, and he needed updating for modern times. Secondly... and most importantly... the movie rested on Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who couldnt act his way out of a paper bag. Ken Wantabe was sleep walking through his part. AND WHAT THE HECK... you kill off Heisenberg so fast. He was CARRYING the first quarter of the movie. That killed the the movie for me. Even seeing it in the IMAX in 3D could not salvage this film.
