Fine start to the morning....massive infection around a lower right molar, tooth was grade 2 mobility. Extraction and socket grafting. Obviously active infection present. Used Biolase and Diode lasers to disinfect the site, also Clindamycin in the allograft ( Mineralized), and systemic antibiotics. Very little buccal bone, and had to actively remove the massive amount of soft tissue with lasers and serrated currettes. Collagen membrane overtop and closure with Gore CV 5 sutures. Think it was a decent result...if you dont graft this..no chance of an implant . Now we wait 4 months minimum....All of this was done and videotaped and photographed through the operating microscope.
