Finished the Charleyville Model 1777 AN IX this afternoon. Still have one band spring to add, but I installed an original side plate, added a lock bolt, replaced and reseated the tang bolt, added a sling, lead-lined flint, hammer stall, bayonet lug and bayonet, and brought the stock and metal finishes up to the standard they left the armory in when the piece was made in 1810. Five feet long without the bayonet, and six feet four with. We’ll test fire it tomorrow with the juniors. ;)
