Finished the Christmas Eve tradition of hitting the gym wayyy - TopicsExpress

Finished the Christmas Eve tradition of hitting the gym wayyy early. Up at 1:45am(Less than 3 hours sleep!), Slugged down a protein drink, cleaned up, gulped down my pre-workout(E.S.P. 200mg caffeine, 2 aspirin), got fired up by watching the training scenes in Rocky IV(Still inspiring after 29 years- The flesh ages but the heart stays the same!), and strode into battle at 3:20am! Strength and core day! Rack Deadlifts, Assisted Pullups, Bravo Deadlift Lockouts, a variety of ab, oblique, and lower back exercises, Seated Calf Raises(Drop Sets), Barbell Behind the Back Wrist Curls, Incline Dumbell Bench Presses(Rehab), Standing Dumbell Lateral Raises(Rehab), and Cybex Triceps Extensions(Just for the Hell of it). 49 works sets done in a non-stop giant, GIANT set. 75-80 minutes done and out! Ready to work for 9 hours and then celebrate the birth of our savior(and, admittedly, eating some pizza along the way...). Some may question the sanity of this but its a question of getting the job done or not having the time later. When it comes to the gym, you have to live it. Faith, family, friends, and work come first but after that, there are no excuses! Tired, sick, sore? No excuses! Theres always something you can do! If you want to succeed in the gym, you cant lead from behind. You fight on the front line or you sit back and watch the winners play the game! Mindless, post-workout, still high as a kite rant over!
