Finished with another doctors/specialists appointment from yesterday. This time it was for my hearing, well, actually the lack thereof. We discussed the possibility of hearing aids. While they would restore most of my hearing, it would never sound natural. Hearing aids would be a temporary solution because my hearing loss is degenerative. The other option is surgery, which seems the most viable solution. I was told that they would be able to build and install new ear drums for me...I almost cried, its been a long time. I have to go back on August 4 at which time we will discuss the risk -v- benefits of actually having the surgery done. At this point Im all for it. Good things are happening everyday!
